During the concert, Dave slipped when trying to jump onto an onstage monitor speaker and fell straight into the security area, ending up with a broken leg.
He was carried off stage by the paramedics, but returned mere five minutes later and played for two more hours with his leg in a cast.
After the show, Dave posted a photo of an x-ray scan of his poor leg.
And ultimately, the band was forced to cancel the remainder of their tour dates this month, including a very important show at the Glastonbury 2015 festival. Dave issued a lengthy letter in which he revealed that the doctors were very serious about him needing to take a break, noting that concert cancelation was inevitable.
The Foo Fighters are delivering some of the best shows of their career on the current tour, and the leg-breaking incident only demonstrates the band’s dedication to deliver the best shows they possibly can.
