Dave Grohl and co. decided to have a little bit of fun during their “Sonic Highways” world tour break and deliver a concert as a part of the Conejo Valley Days county fair in Thousand Oaks, California.
Performing under a fake name of Chevy Metal, Dave Grohl, Taylor Hawkins, Chris Shiflet, and Rami Jaffe rocked a set of cover songs only, delivering renditions of such classic acts as the Rolling Stones, Queen, Van Halen, Steve Miller Band, AC/DC, and more.
The gig proved that the band can furiously shake up the crowd even with cover songs at small gigs like this. And if they can do that, you can only imagine what they sound like on tour playing their own songs, the ones that keep topping the charts around the globe. Therefore, we wholeheartedly recommend checking out the list of upcoming Foo Fighters concert dates and additional ticket info at the following link.
Finally, you can check out the surprise gig set list, along with a few fan filmed clips right below. Notable tunes include “Summer of ’69,” “School’s Out,” “Let There Be Rock” and more. Keep on rickin’, boys!
