New Def Leppard Album Will Feature Lead Vocals From All Members, Band Reveals

Def LeppardGlam rock stars Def Leppard have revealed that their upcoming new album, a follow-up to 2008’s “Songs From the Sparkle Lounge,” will feature lead vocal tracks recorded by each band member.

Chatting with The Province, guitarist Vivian Campbell noted that a new album is something the lads are doing primarily for themselves, since hitting the road and churning out their timeless best-of hits is something they could do every year, with or without a fresh record.

And although they won’t be experimenting too much on the upcoming release, there is something that will set it apart from the remainder of the Leppard opus, as every member of the band will sing. And we aren’t talking casual back vocals, but lead singing.

As reported, the band’s new album is fully recorded and awaiting release. The boys have revealed that they planned to present the effort earlier, but were surprised by how many labels were interested in releasing the record, ultimately slowing down the whole process.

Def Leppard still deliver an amazing show live, so if they happen to be in your area, do check them out. A list of their upcoming concerts and ticket info is available here
