The Pitchfork Music Festival is an annual event organized by Pitchfork Media and taking place at the Union Park in Chicago, IL. Founded in 2006, the festivity hosts a wide array of artists, ranging from rock, punk and indie, all the way to hip-hop, electronica, and dance music.
This is one of those events that refuses to be pigeonholed, yet offers amazing music on every corner. If music amazes you, so will Pitchfork Music Festival. The fact that the event is tightly associated with Pitchfork tells you that you should expect the unexpected – edgy, creative, original and cutting-edge, those would be some of the keywords.
The event takes place for three days during the third weekend of July. Some of the notable fest performers include Wilco, Sleater-Kinney, Future Islands and more.
We’re talking 50,000 concertgoers of all ages from 45 states and 26 countries, along with a wide array of activities beyond the realms of music. We’re talking about a good time.
