The Moody Blues Bassist/Singer John Lodge Streaming New Solo Song ‘10,000 Light Years Ago’

The Moody BluesThe Moody Blues bassist/singer John Lodge has officially unveiled the title track of his upcoming solo album “10,000 Light Years Ago.”

The record is due out on May 5 via Esoteric Records, marking John’s first solo album in 38 years and a long overdue follow-up to 1977’s “Natural Avenue.”

As reported, the album is set to feature a vast array of guest musicians, including Ray Thomas and Mike Pinder of the Moody Blues on a song titled “Simply Magic,” as well as a special appearance from guitar master Chris Spedding.

The record will feature eight fresh songs, and in the words of the man himself, the tunes will pretty much continue along the same vibe of the Moodies’ tunes, only with an extra pinch of Lodge touch.
