The Who singer Roger Daltrey wasn’t exactly impressed when he detected that one of the fans was smoking marijuana during the band’s recent concert in New York, threatening the crowd that he will leave the venue unless the smoking stops.
Roger stressed that he is allergic to cannabis, and that the presence of smoke is putting his health in danger.
In a midst of rocking the Nassau Colliseum venue on Wednesday, May 20, Daltrey said it loud and clear that “the show will be over” unless the smoking stops. He added that it’s “your choice” and that he’s “doing his best” to keep the situation under control.
The singer also noted that the allergy is causing him to have vocal problems, to which the crowd began chanting “eat it” to the pot smoker. Guitarist Pete Townsend even suggested rectal administration of the drug, with Daltrey adding, “Up your f–king a-se, it’s the quickest way.”
As one of the leading forces in the history of rock music, The Who are still rocking very strong.
