U2 Surprise Fans in Concert as Bono Impersonator Performs Live With the Band

U2Rock titans U2 have pulled an interesting stunt during a recent gig at the LA Forum in Los Angeles by bringing a Bono impersonator on stage to confuse the crowd a little bit.

The guy goes by the name of Joe Hier, and he is a singer in a U2 tribute band called Hollywood U2. Joe was brought onstage as a part of U2’s regular routine of taking a fan from the crowd to film the show on an iPhone. Then, Bono surprised everyone by handing Joe the microphone and taking over piano duties.

As you can see, the guy absolutely nailed the tune. The footage is available below, and we wholeheartedly recommend checking it out. The song they played was “Sweetest Thing,” the meaty bit kicks off around 2:40.

U2 are currently on tour supporting their latest studio album “Songs of Innocence.” They are maintaining their reputation of a hot live act and are delivering amazing shows on every stop. Click here for a detailed list of upcoming U2 live tour dates and additional ticket info.
