U2’s The Edge Falls Off Edge of Stage During Concert as Band Begins Global Tour

U2U2 guitarist The Edge has suffered a minor setback at the band’s first concert of their current worldwide tour by falling off the edge of the stage in Vancouver on May 14.

During the closing song of the night, the all-time classic “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For,” The Edge took a few steps in the wrong directions, resulting in a spectacular fall.

As the footage below clearly shows, Mr. Edge was casually strolling along, and obviously forgot to look down. The result – a brief kerrang and Mr. Bono continuing the song in an equally casual manner. Since the guitarist is fine and didn’t sustain a single injury, it’s very much OK to chuckle here.

The 24-track show at the 20,000-capacity Rogers Arena in Vancouver, Canada, marked the group’s first full show since last year’s controversial release of their new album, “Songs of Innocence,” which was given away free to all iTunes users.

But still, the footage and overall atmosphere very much prove that U2 are still hot in concert and more than worthy of watching live. Make sure to check out the full list of upcoming U2 tour dates and additional ticket info by clicking here.
